1. Basically you are overweight because you are:
- eating the wrong foods,
- in the wrong proportions,

- You go about your daily life while your body makes
all the decisions around the food you eat.
- It operates as your ultimate survival
mechanism – so whenever you do not eat the
right way, it starts storing up calories which
convert into fat.
- Your body will not burn away this fat
because it thinks it needs to conserve these calories.
- In your case, it’s just piling on
the fat, and most of it goes around the lower
abs – that being the area least exercised or used.
- The less fat you eat in your diet, the
more fat it stores and therefore the more overweight you become.
- In reality therefore, you will not only
have to eat more often, you will also have to
eat according to the balance your body needs.
- This will encourage your body to burn away
more calories, especially the fat building up
in the area that is least exercised, i.e. your
lower abs.
2.
You have flabby lower abs because:
- you have not understood what your lower abs are all about.
- the exercises you may be doing do not focus on your lower abs.
- nor are you doing them properly.
Your lower ab muscle is not just a single muscle
- It forms part of segments of muscles consisting
of the obliques, upper abs and lower abs, concentrated
in the lower part of the rectus abdominis.
- This covers the whole mid-section from the
lower chest down to the pubic bone, and therefore
envelopes much of the torso and especially the
spine.
- Your lower abs have become flabby because
for one reason or another, e.g. pregnancy, age,
lack of properly targeted exercises or because
of your busy lifestyle, you lost much of its
strength and therefore the deteriorated muscles
were eventually beset by fat build-up.
- Fat built up easily around the obliques,
abs and especially the lower abs because it
is an area that is least exercised – mainly
because you did not focus your exercises on
these muscles.
- Evidently this prevents the normal support
to the torso and will especially weaken support
to the spine - in more adverse circumstances
resulting in susceptibility to back injuries,
and you often see this with pregnant women or
overweight people. A more common result will
be stiffness of the torso.
- What upsets you continuously is that the
fat has also weakened the ab muscles causing
the ugly fatty bulge to hug your body from the
waist downwards.
